I am literally amazed when I hear people trying to tell me that the Turbulence Training workout is to easy for them. They’re not doing the workouts right and pushing themselves to their limit.

Every single Turbulence Training workout that I do leaves me sweating and feeling tired, tired in a good manor. I also have never finished any Turbulence Training workout and thought that it was easy or ineffective at all.

You might not be able to use the same exact weights that I do, but maybe you could be adding more intensity to your own workouts. That’s all that is really necessary to make your workouts better for fat burning and pushing it to its fullest.

Lets take a look at Workout A, from the Intermediate Phase of the Turbulence Training for Fat Loss manual. Warm-up: I would use this to get my body and muscles ready for the workout. I’d even get myself to sweat a little bit. Now we move to super sets.

1A) DB Split Squat (8 reps)- I like to use a minimum of 70 pound dumbells for this exercise. It is hard, there is no other possible way to say it. 1B) DB Incline Press (8 reps): I use about 80 – 90 lbs dumbells for this exercise. Just this superset itself gets me sweating a puddle.

2A) Stability Ball Leg Curls doing 15 reps – I can do this exercise like nothing so I like to either raise the number of repetitions up to 25 per set or I do 1 leg stability ball leg curl. 2B) Push ups doing 15 reps – I increase the push up reps up to 35 repetitions per set or I would do some kind of moderation like close grip push ups which is more difficult or decline close grip push ups which is even more difficult than the others.

3A) 10 Reps Of Stability Ball Jackknives – I raise the repetitions to 20 for each set or I either do 1 leg Stability Ball Jackknives. 3B) 10 Reps Of DB Rear Delt Raises – This one is really tough to do and I use 20 lbs dumbells for this.

After this quite intense strength training session, I would rest 1-2 minutes and then hop on the treadmill for the intervals.

Interval Workout A: Intervals can not be easy for anyone. For me, I run at top speed on the treadmill which is 12mph, or I’d go outside and run the intervals. A beginner might use something like 3.8mph for walking intervals. No matter what and either way, we would both make it as tough as possible on ourselves for our own personal fitness levels.

The overall point, this workout is tough. And someone who is in better shape then I am would raise the intensity up to their max level. So that they will be boosting their metabolism to its max and be burning fat quickly.

Never let the workout become easy that is the key. Letting your workouts to be easy wont provide the fat loss or muscle gain you are looking for. So push your self to your max. Do I think that bread machine mixes are useful? Yes, some of them are, but the snag with all bread machine mixes is that they place limitations on your choice and do not encourage your creative talents. That may sound odd, but think about it for a while. If you depend on bread machine mixes you can only make the bread for which you can buy a bread machine mix and you can only tip the bread machine mix into the bowl and switch on the bread making machine. You are definitely not likely to alter the bread machine mix for fear that it won’t work.

What is the alternative? Well, the old-fashioned cookbook, of course! Not any old cookbook, but a specialized bread making machine recipe book. Bread making is a very simple, but rather tedious process. The ingredients are everyday, household items: water, flour, yeast, salt, sugar and oil. You already have those items in your cupboard with the possible exception of the yeast, which can be bought everywhere at low cost.

And you know what happens when you follow a recipe, don’t you? You’ve read the recipe through and you know you have everything in the kitchen, but when the recipe calls for, say, currants, you open the cupboard door and see that you don’t have any currants – they were sultanas! Oh, well you think, they’ll do. You make do. You experiment. You are developing your skills and creativity. Bread making mixes cannot do that for you.

A good bread making machine recipe book will have something over 100 recipes coming from a number of different countries and you will become really enthusiastic about experimenting with the various ones. Have you ever tasted Welsh bread – Bara Brith? Or English muffin bread? Jalapeno bread or banana bread? I once made a fantastic loaf by adding all the left-over vegetables from my Sunday lunch. It was lovely, but I could never quite reproduce it, because I did not write down the weights and measures. I could only remember that it had green beans, potatoes and sweet corn in it!

Bread machine mixes will never ever provide that, will they? Furthermore bread machine mixes are relatively expensive compared to the cost of ten pounds. I always vary the ingredients too: honey instead of sugar, milk instead of water, olive oil or butter instead of just corn oil. Rock salt instead of sea salt or visa versa. You get the picture.

Bread machine mixes are not only limited but limiting too. Furthermore, a bread making machine is a great way to use up leftovers. I have added meat and fruit in my gourmet bread many times. My guiding principle is: if it’ll go in a sandwich it’ll go in the dough – like an Indian stuffed paratha or stuffed naan bread.

Stop buying bread machine mixes – they are a waste of money. Instead be creative with a bread machine recipes cookbook.
