<p><strong>Pushups: </strong>it&#8217;s a kind of exercise done to gain strength especially when you wake up in the morning. When you begin to do pushups, note that your arms should hold up to 80% of the mass of your body. Perform about 10 to 20 pushups for 3 times one after the other.</p>
<p><strong>Jumping jacks: </strong>it is a simple aerobic exercise which you can perform in the comfort of your home or anywhere you feel comfortable to do it. Perform up to 20 jumping jakes, after the first set is over do it again for another 2-3 times while still maintaining the 20 jumping jakes per set. I don&#8217;t recommend you doing it in a storey building or apartment when you know you could disturb the peace of your neighbors, try doing it outside.</p>
<p><strong>Quick walking: </strong>walking is one the coolest exercises you can do to lose body fat, but I tell you if you can increase the intensity of your walking by moving fast you will lose even more fat than when you are doing normal walking. Before you begin your normal usual walking, do stretch out and complement it with warm up before embarking on walking. As soon as you increase your walking speed, attempt to keep that rate as much as you are able to. When you are exhausted, try to do longer periods of quick walking and after that you do short periods of slow walking.</p>
<p><strong>Stepping:</strong> it is one the ways you can use to burn calories. One of the ways to do this is to use the stairs you&#8217;ve got at home. But if you need a faster result, buy stackable step mats; stack it up to 15 inches. Start by doing 2 to 3 sets of 20 steps.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you&#8217;re not much of an exercise buff then entering an event where people are competing to be the fastest across three different forms of fitness can seem like the worst idea ever. That&#8217;s not true; the triathlon world is full of people of mixed abilities, from young to old, fit to fat. You don&#8217;t just have to go all out and compete in a full triathlon either; many people don&#8217;t even do the full event, maybe just two out of the three for fun.</p>
<p>However, don&#8217;t be fooled into thinking it&#8217;s easy, it is a serious sporting event and taking part without any training could risk injury or serious problems. The key to success is training, the event consists of three activities, swimming, cycling and running. Assuming you know how to run, the only thing you might need help with is cycling and swimming, there is no point training or entering on of these events if you can&#8217;t do either of them, it&#8217;s that simple. </p>
<p>There a few pieces of kit you will need to begin with; running shoes, a warm swimsuit/triathlon suit, and a bike. Shoes and a swimsuit are fairly cheap but getting a bike is more serious than it sounds. You won&#8217;t necessarily be able to just pull your old BMX out of the garage and make it work, if you have an old bike take it to a bike shop and see if it is worth repairing. If can often be more cost-effective to buy a new one that fixing up an old one as you still end up with an old bike. The bike needs to be suitable for the event, if you want to get serious there are triathlon specific bikes but a decent lightweight mountain bike will do. You will need to train on this and learn basic maintenance in case of an accident, fixing a puncture is a must as is a pump and spare inner tube.</p>
<p>You are best off choosing a &#8217;sprint&#8217; triathlon as this is a much shorter distance as usual, it doesn&#8217;t matter if you have run a marathon before as you use different muscle groups and it&#8217;s a different ball game.  The sprint triathlon consists of a 750m swim, 20km bike ride and a 5km run. People taking part in this kind of even are likely to be beginners too which will help you feel better about being out of breath.</p>
<p>Your training should begin well in advance, it takes several months for your body to adapt to new activities but if you are in reasonably good shape and are already into sports you could probably train in as little as three months. Improve your skills in your weakest area first, if you are a cyclist, get used to swimming and running and vice versa. Create a training schedule, have a strict timetable of at least 1 &#8211; 3 hours per day, 5 &#8211; 6 days per week. Vary your workout intensity, focus on sprinting and power one day but distance the next, this will help your body build up both strength and endurance. </p>
<p>Gradually build up your training to a point where you do two activities on each day, perhaps to triathlon distance. However you put it, a triathlon will be tiring so its up to you if you want to take up a couple of days training by practising a whole triathlon and recovering for a few days but you might not have the time for this. </p>
<p>Eat well, you aren&#8217;t on a diet to lose weight as the training should do this for you but ensure you are taking in the appropriate calories, protein and vitamins each day to sustain your activities. This will aid your training and also get your body in the right condition for lengthy exercise. You could vary your diet in the days leading up to your event but consult a dietician before anything drastic, for the event, which will probably be an early start, have a light healthy breakfast with fruit. Invest in some decent energy supplements for the race which you should experiment with before hand but not use to train. Finally, take care and good luck.</p>

I am looking for a cardio workout that will tone and stregthen my abdominal muscles.  I am looking for something that I can do at home.  I am not a fan of going to the gym.  I already walk 2 miles at least 3 times a week.  I am looking for something a little more intense.  Can anyone recommend any exercises?  I do have an ab-lounge, is that all I need to use?  Any suggestions will be appreciated.  I am not looking to lose weight.  I just want to tone up.</p>
<p><strong>Best answer:</strong></p>
<p><i>Answer by enufwork</i><br/>There is no site specific way of losing fat&#8230; the old myth about working your abs to burn belly fat isn&#8217;t true. To get rid of love handles, you need to lose overall fat. That happens with exercise and watching your diet. More on that below. </p>
<p>The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the &#8220;moderate&#8221; fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode. </p>
<p>Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs&#8230; almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.</p>
<p>For diet, keep a diary for a couple of weeks counting calories, grams of protein, and grams of fat intake. It is easy with online sources of nutritional information (type the name of the food and calories into the Google search engine) and packaging labels. That will let you quickly figure out where the fat is coming from in your diet. </p>
<p>Fat gives you 9 calories per gram. So take the number of grams of fat, multiply by 9, then calculate what percentage the fat calories are of your total daily calories. Restricting the calories from fat to about 20% of your total intake is ideal for a maintenance diet&#8230; that isn&#8217;t overly restrictive. Of note, you need some fat in your diet. For instance, the body uses fat to produce hormones. Once you have a picture of how to modify your diet, you can drop the diary and just go back to it occasionally if you are wanting to tweek things further.</p>
<p>There is a subset of questions that goes further and asks about &#8220;How to get a six-pack?&#8221; The answer is the same. Six-packs are 20% abdominal exercise and 80% diet. There is one caveat&#8230; abdominal muscles will form in the position that you exercise them, so be certain to pull them tightly toward your spine while doing crunches, etc. Also, during most lifting, the &#8220;core is active&#8221; which means that you should be stabilizing with contracted abs then too. Fail to do this and the abs will form, but bulging outward and the result is not attractive.</p>
<p>If you are trying to build muscle as a way to lose fat, then you may need to increase total calories and specifically your protein intake. I target about 0.8 g of protein per pound of body weight each day when actively building. That is far more protein than most people need in their diets.</p>

<p>The bad news here is that a lot of what people do day in and day out is actually decreasing their testosterone levels.</p>
<p>So here is how to naturally increase your levels of testosterone:</p>
<p>1. Lift weights with your largest and strongest muscles: Doing bicep curls all day isn&#8217;t going to do anything for your overall testosterone levels. Instead, activate your big muscles with challenging movements. This is the true secret to jump starting hormone production in your body.</p>
<p>2. Have a balanced diet with lots of vegetables and slow digesting carbs: Having balance in your diet with lots of vegetables is a great way to keep your blood sugar low. And low blood sugar will make your testosterone levels rise. You see, as blood sugar increases, testosterone production decreases.</p>
<p>3. Lose weight at a stable rate: Paradoxically, the more weight you lose the more testosterone your body produces. This should be good news because as you get in better shape your body will make the process easier and easier. The key here is to keep on pushing forward.</p>
<p>4. Exercise harder when you are resistance training: This is not easy, but it&#8217;s brutally effective for increasing testosterone. You see, as levels of exercise intensity increase, so does the amount of testosterone your body secretes.</p>
<p>5. Reduce your rest periods during your lifting sessions: This is very difficult, but you don&#8217;t have to become a super hero from one workout to the next. Slowly constrict the length of your rest periods until you reach a good amount of rest. I recommend aiming for 45 seconds of rest between sets.</p>
<p>6. Get quality sleep with no interruptions: Staying in bed all day does not necessarily mean you are getting quality sleep. Instead, make sure you have a high sleep efficiency. In other words, you need to maximize the amount of deep sleep you are getting every minute you are in bed.</p>
<p>Increasing your testosterone is a great way to increase your quality of life and to increase the results from your workouts. So make sure you take action here sooner rather than later!</p>

I would like to know how long I should workout on the Ab Lounge 2.  I do about 50 rep. of different styles, but other people are saying that they do like 150 reps.  I want to know what people have done that have had success with the product.</p>

<p><i>Answer by Joe D</i><br/>i can do like 150 reps yes and i start feelin th burn and i do like 3 sets of that everyday it works great try maybe 3 sets of 50 reg and maybe 50 oblique on each side or even 25 in each set stil is great<br />
it helps yes ur back wont hurt like a reg sit up and it&#8217;s like 2x as effective <img src='http://www.lovehandles.com.au/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
